I'm María. I'm a Colombian artist specialized in children's book illustration. I grew up feeding my imagination with stories and landscapes that I treasured in my drawings.
In 2015 I received a Masters degree in Illustration from the Academy of Art University, in San Francisco,CA. and since then I've been carving my path towards a successful career by working as a freelance illustrator and visual communicator with clients that include Starbucks, Twitter, The Flavour Nation Dubai, and non-profit organizations such as The Pan American Development Foundation –PADF/FUPAD and HOPE- Hispanas Organized for Political Equality.
As an entrepreneur, I created a baby/toddler apparel brand [TWIBBLES] where my purpose is to inspire curiosity and creativity and encourage reading in children from the very beginning.
I also work full time, as a visual coordinator, on the visual merchandising team at Pottery Barn Teen, from Williams Sonoma.
I currently reside in California, with my Illustrator husband and the main character of my illustrations: Benja, my son.
